ABOUT PROGRAM
The person who is involved in promotion, sales and marketing in medical sector is called “Medical Representative”. Medical representative introduces and sells drugs and medical equipment introduced into the market to doctors, pharmacists and relevant institutions. While doing this, the representative should provide the relevant institution or individual with correct and precise information about the product. And this is only possible after a qualified education by professional educators. . Medical presentation and marketing program trains qualified, competent individuals who like their jobs, prioritize human health and steer the sectorwith their theoretic and practical knowledge.
The students completing this program get “Medical Marketing Representative” title and work in companies engaged in medicine and medical equipment.
GOAL
The main goal of medical representation and marketing program is to train qualified staff who have the occupational knowledge and background required in pharmaceuticals and medical equipment companies.
OBJECTİVE
Medical representation and marketing program aims to educate the professional Medical Representatives who will be engaged in marketing and sales in pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.
The program aims to educate students who will be qualified to do the marketing and sales of the products of the national and international pharmaceutical and medical equipment companies they work for; make sales to hospitals, pharmacies and relevant companies; follow the activities of the competitor companies in the market; will be engaged in scientific organization and make presentations; participate in bids in the purchasing processes of the companies and contribute to their individual development as well as institutional and social development.
DEGREE AWARDED
The students completing this program are awarded with associate degree diploma in “medical representation and marketing” and are entitled to receive “member of profession” title.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The students completing this program are entitled with “Medical Marketing Representative” title and can work in pharmaceutical and medical equipment companies.
Today, when we look into the occupational groups of the people who work medical sector, we see that the number of graduates from medical representation and marketing program is too few. When the fact that the number of medical representatives around Turkey is around 23.000 is considered, it is obvious that the employment opportunities for the graduates are high.
GRADUATİON PROVISION
In order to be entitled to receive a Degree from our school, the student is required;
- To have a minimum CGPA of 2.00/ 4.00
- To complete 120 ECTS credits.
- To complete a compulsory intership in the specified time.
TRANSITION TO UPPER STAGE
Our students who graduated from medical representation and marketing program are allowed to continue their education in Public Relation, Public Relations and Presentation, Public Relation and Advertising, Marketing, International Trade, International Trade and Finance, International Trade and Financing, International Trade and Shopkeeping, International Trade and Logistic departments through the external transfer exam by OSYM.
